The idea of a CD changer seems something of an anachronism in this day and age of 160GB iPods, but undeterred, TEAC has unveiled a new five-disc changer, the £149.95 PD-2620.
It can play up to 750 songs continuously, either from conventional CDs or MP3 tracks ripped to a CD-R or CD-RW disc.
The PD-2620 is equipped with a 1-bit dual digital-to-analogue converter, has an 8x oversampling rate, shuffle play mode, 32-selection random memory program and remote control.
There are two digital audio outputs (one coaxial, one digital), one phono audio out and a headphone socket. A rack mount kit is optional, and the 6.2kg unit measures 11.5 x 43.5 x 39cm.
