Audio Technica ATH-AD1000 review

These smart-looking and well built headphones give off an air of sophistication, but sonically they can be a bit too polite Tested at £369.00

Our Verdict

These Audio-Technicas are well worth an audition

  • Excellent build quality
  • spacious sound
  • lots of detail

  • Bit too polite
  • lean bass

If comfort was the yardstick, these open-backed, sophisticated cans would take the prize.

Sonically, the Audio Technica ATH- AD1000s give a spacious picture that although is packed with detail, we found to be a bit too polite.

The bass is a tad lean, but the midrange smooth and the treble crisp. Well worth your time to take a listen.
