The Amazon Big Spring Sale is here, and with it a plethora of savings on speakers, TVs, earbuds and earphones.
One of the best-selling deals appears to be the Shoxz OpenRun Pro 2, which is $39 off at Amazon with a $140 price tag.
We gave the sports headphones three stars in our Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 review, praising the comfortable, lightweight design but finding the sound lacking depth and a sense of dynamics.
So what if you want some exercise earbuds that offer the best of both worlds? We have a proposition for you…
The Beats Fit Pro combine a fun sound with a comfortable, secure fit. They are also seamless to use and incredibly easy to get along with, making for a reliable and practical exercise partner.

As much as we liked the design of the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2, the Beats Fit Pro take the honour of best design in our guide to the best sports and workout headphones.
Their innovative wingtip means you’ll get a snug and secure fit whether you're running, in the gym or doing any other exercise, and we found them exceedingly comfortable even over long periods at a time.
But they also deliver when it comes to sound, offering lively and enjoyable audio sure to keep the adrenaline pumping.
"Songs time well, with clearly defined basslines that go deep without overpowering the overall balance too much. They have excellent timing and punch, and a very pleasing presentation that ties the music together cohesively," our Beats Fit Pro review reads.
“Whether it’s the foreboding intensity of Massive Attack’s Angel or the more laid-back, deliberate pace of Elevators (Me & You) by Outkast, there’s a great sense of drive that keeps you hooked on the song."
They will happily withstand a bit of rain thanks to their IPX4 rating, while a strong 27-hour battery life means you are unlikely to get left musicless at the gym.
We did have an issue with a slightly excitable treble, but overall these buds are easy to use, cleverly designed and a delight to listen to. And at $130 at Amazon, they're also a real bargain.
