Nevo Q50 review

Stylish remote, colour touch screen and wireless but at a hefty price Tested at £550.00

What Hi-Fi? Verdict

Does the business but at a hefty price.

Pros

  • +

Powerful remote for the home cinema enthusiast

Cons

  • -

Doesn't quite justify hefty price tag

Nevo specialises in remotes for the custom install market, so if you're lucky enough to have a Q50, it's probably been calibrated by a professional.

Good job, really, as the software is very complicated indeed.

That's mostly due to its vast features and customisability – it'll control your home security, lights and blinds if you've got that kind of home setup, and everything about the screen, from background to buttons, can be tinkered with infinitely.

If someone's doing the setup for you, bump the rating to a four, but the lack of sharpness and vibrancy to the screen holds it back from five stars even then.
