Which sub will better my Kef PSW2000?
Hi all,
I have the kef PSW2000 which now buzzes for a few minutes when switched on but then is all quiet and performs as it should, it's had two new amp boards replaced by Audio T but it's going to fail at some point, so to my question, " which sub 2nd hand off an auction site for approx £150 will out perform my Kef?
The M&K v-75 or the v-100? Wharfdale sw-150 is it? Rel 100E or 150E? MJ 50mkII?
Thanks for reading and hopefully some replies
"Computer say's no.." thinkt the SW150 will be on par with yours.Have no experience with the others you've mentioned.
Can you stretch to this?: http://www.bkelec.com/hifi/Sub_Woofers/Gemini.htm
for a second hand sub for £150 I would go for a REL - quake or the MJ50v2, but if you can live without one for a while and save up a bit to get to the £400 s/h price range for a velodyne you will get greater reward imho, or put the money into full range floorstanders if you have the room for them
There is someone selling a new : Tannoy HTS black gloss subwoofer on ebay for 180 or best offer.
Even at 180 thats quite good as hifix selling for 230.00
