The Best of the Week - 17/02/2012

Today, 17th February, marks the day when Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan recorded the duet Girls from the North Country in Nashville in 1966.

And on this day in 1972, Pink Floyd premiered their album The Dark Side of the Moon in London, an entire year before it was released. The Dark Side of the Moon was a huge success, remaining in the charts for 741 weeks - longer than any other album in history.

Highlights this week on include:

– Looking for a pair of good all-round high-end floorstanders? The Naim Ovator S-400 speakers (left) are probably the most rounded Naim speakers we've ever heard.

– A beautiful Dali Zensor 5 5.1 surround sound speaker package is up for grabs! Enter our cracking competition by clicking here.

– Cyrus Audio has released a shiny new range of hi-fi systems. That's music to our ears.

– Our expert reviewers gave the new Pioneer SC-LX75 amp 5 stars for its great stereo imaging and clarity of sound.

Meanwhile on the forums, we've been discussing problems with Rega Brio R amps, and debating whether it would be worthwhile adding a dedicated amplifier to the new AKG Q701 headphones.
