Yamaha is one of the biggest names in global audio , so when the famed Japanese company announces any new product, you can bet we’re going to sit up and take notice.
Which product? Well, that information’s still under wraps at this point – so far, all we’ve received is a vague teaser ahead of the official product unveiling. However, what we can disclose is that you’ll be able to find out the specifics yourself at the Australian Hi-Fi Show Sydney in just a couple of weeks, where attendees will be among the first in the world to see and hear this brand-new product.
That’s right, Yamaha Music Australia has confirmed to us that it will be taking the wraps off an all-new audio product at this year’s show, and the company’s claiming it will be the "next evolution in living room hi-fi." We’ve also been supplied with a picture, but it’s ambiguous to say the least. However, given the company mentions living room hi-fi, we’re speculating that it will be some form of wireless speaker.

But, that’s all we know for now. If you want to know more and have the chance to witness the global unveiling, you’ll need to get yourself a ticket to the 2026 Australian Hi-Fi Show in Sydney, taking place from May 1-3 — tickets are now available from Ticketebo.

But being the wonderful English guy he is, he helps out with content across a number of Future sites, including What Hi-Fi?. It wouldn't be his first exposure to the world of all things hi-fi and home cinema, as his first role in technology journalism was with What Hi-Fi? in the UK. Clearly he pined to return after making the move to Australia and the team have welcomed him back with arms wide open.
