Ecosse Conductor CA1.2 MK III

The CA1.2 is decent, but just doesn't perform well enough to stand out from the crowd

- Digs deep for detail
- good timing
Against
- Lack of authority at the bottom end and brightness at the top
Now on its third iteration, Ecosse’s stiff-jacketed and solidly built Conductor CA 1.2 offers a well-rounded yet punchy sound.
It is one of the better cables here with detail, digging deep to find sonic intricacy.
Send Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture through it, and the wide sound is airy, with a well-matched midrange and treble.
Against comparably priced rivals, though, the Ecosse lacks a bit of energy and excitement.
The Ecosse Conductor is still a very good performer, but it’s not a class-leader in this company.
