The 'A700s look very impressive, but feel less satisfying thanks to an abundance of low-rent plastic.
The sound is rather disappointing, too: bass, though deep, is rather overblown and fat, lending an unwanted ponderousness to delivery, while the treble lacks excitement and the midrange makes vocals sound curiously flat.
It's not to say that these Audio-Technica are unlistenable; in fact, they're very inoffensive, but that comes at the expense of some excitement and drive.
