Hi guys,

I'm looking at the back of an FM separate. What does a 12V trigger and an IR socket do? I've never used them.

Cheers!

Re: 12V trigger?

A 12V trigger allows you to link it to other similarly equipped separates so when you switch one piece of equipment on, the others follow suit.

An IR socket comes into play when you're putting separates in a cabinet, where their standard infrared receiver will be unable to get line-of-sight commands from their remote control. The socket allows you to add IR 'eyes' you can put in a more suitable positiion....
