Polk Signature E Series delivers premium audio tuned for the UK and Europe

Polk Audio is bringing 40 years of audio expertise to its new Signature E Series home entertainment range. Tuned for the UK and Europe, America's number one speaker brand has announced a complete update to its original Signature speaker range, with floorstanding, centre and bookshelf speakers.

The new collection consists of the S60e, S55e and S50e floorstanding tower speakers; the S35e and S30e centre speakers; and the S20e, S15e and S10e bookshelf speakers.

Upgrades across the range include new and improved drive units, a new crossover topology and upgraded crossover components. Refined bass tuning rounds off the upgraded sound, and all of this is housed within the carefully crafted and braced cabinetry.

There's also a fresh, stylish design, boasting beautiful curves and gilded accents. Available in black washed walnut or winter white finishes, the series fits effortlessly into any home.

Together, the speakers deliver an immersive home theatre experience, using Polk’s patented Dynamic Balance Technology Driver Design for a powerful and precise sound.

Polk engineers, working with hugely-respected audio engineer Karl Heinz Fink, were able to integrate the most suitable, carefully selected materials and most efficient geometry, analysing each speaker’s entire electro-acoustic and mechanical system for the ultimate sonic performance.

Offering 3dB more bass response output than a traditional port, the exclusive patented Polk Power Port technology extends the overall bass port, providing a great surface area in order to minimise distortion. This allows for bigger, more musical, deep bass impact.

Towers of sound

The flagship Polk Signature S60e tower speakers are high-resolution certified and feature 2.54cm Terylene tweeters that are capable of delivering 40 kHz to support the highest-quality audio files. Completing the floorstanding speaker range, the S55e speakers feature two 6.5 inch midrange drivers, while the S50e speakers utilise two 5.25 inch drivers.

Other features include a four-driver (S60e and S55e) and three-driver (S50e) cascading tapered crossover array for a more life-like sound stage; anti-diffraction grills for a perfect fit and minimized sonic interference; and dual gold-plated five-way binding posts for easy set up.

Clear centres

Polk’s centre channel speakers, the S35e and S30e, are designed to be an unobtrusive way to bring clean, full-range sound, ideal for voices in movies and music.

With a slim form, the S35e stands at a mere 4 inches tall, making it a perfect accompaniment to even the slimmest 4K and OLED TVs. Both the S35e and S30e feature a 1-inch hi-res Terylene tweeter for crisp, clear high frequencies, alongside mica-reinforced polypropylene mid-bass drivers – six 3-inch cones (S35e) or two 5.25-inch cones (S30e).

Similar to the tower speakers, the S35e and S30e centre channels are highly sensitive and power efficient, working efficiently with most receivers. The S35e features a six-driver array, while the S30e offers a two-driver array, with each featuring anti-diffraction magnetic grilles and gold-plated five-way binding posts.

For additional flexibility, the S35e can be used as a left, centre or right speaker (L/C/R) and can be wall-mounted horizontally or vertically via built-in keyhole slots.

Big-sounding bookshelf speakers

If you're after something a little more compact, the Polk Signature E Series S20e and S15e bookshelf speakers are just the job. The Signature E Series bookshelf speakers can be used as standalone monitors or as the ideal foundation for a powerful home theatre system.

The speakers feature a single 1-inch Terylene tweeter and a single low-distortion mica-reinforced polypropylene cone, ranging from 6.5 inches (S20e) to 5.25 inches (S15e), plus Power Port for authentic bass impact and the option of easy wall-mounting.

Completely redesigned at every point, the Polk Signature E Series offers the ultimate audiophile solution for stereo and home cinema systems, specially designed and tuned for the UK and European market.
