ALBUM REVIEW: Fleet Foxes
This self-titled debut album from Fleet Foxes is a beautiful and self-assured introduction to a Seattle band that have more in common with Crosby, Stills and Nash than Nirvana.
Fleet Foxes is a rarity, a pop album that manages to be genuinely innovative while still proudly displaying it's influences. Hints of folk, rock & roll and even surfer-boy harmonies merge in this musically nimble album.
Deft guitar plucking and and rich, warm organs combine with beautiful harmonies and simple percussion to make one of the prettiest and most engaging albums of the year. You can hear a full review and excerpts from the album here.
