SNEAK PREVIEW: WHFSV at the What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision Show

They're all downstairs sorting out equipment for the demonstration at the What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision show, writes Andrew Everard, so I've been having a sneaky peek around the office to try and find out what they're going to be getting up to over the weekend.

Here's what I've found out so far...

Found this plan - looks like they're planning a big demonstration room, with plenty of space for visitors to check out the latest high-def home cinema technology, plus some hanging-out space so you can ask for advice or argue the toss with the reviewers.

Also spotted some notes suggesting they're getting together a monster system, running to about 3.2kW of power, ten power amps, three subwoofers and a price tag of well over £68,000. Cripes!

And judging from the discs lying around I reckon you might be seeing an exclusive showing of bits of the UK HD DVD release of Transformers, plus Spider-Man 3 and the latest Fantastic Four movie on Blu-ray.

Also heard someone talking about £15,000-worth of equipment being given away in a competition, and –

Oops, gotta go, they're coming back. You in't seen me, right?
