Amazon Prime Big Deal Days is here, and that means the next few days could prove fruitful if you're in the market for a new set of headphones, a Bluetooth speaker, or perhaps even a music streamer, among many other AV product.

While Prime Big Deal Days has arguably been the weaker of the two Amazon Prime Day sales in Australia, as the deals below prove, there are still plenty of bargains to be found — and if anything, they give us a good idea as to what to expect during the Black Friday sales due at the end of November.

As with any Amazon Prime sale, you'll need to have yourself a Prime membership to secure the best prices. If you're not a member, you can sign up using the price comparison tool below. Not only does a Prime membership come with free and expedited delivery on a huge range of items, but you also gain free access to Prime Video and a free two-year membership to Door Dash.

I'll be keeping this page updated throughout the entire duration of Prime Big Deal Days, and if experiences serves me well, new deals can appear at any time, so be sure to check back regularly.

Headphones

Bose QuietComfort SC Headphones
Save 51% (AU$256.95)
Bose QuietComfort SC Headphones: was AU$499.95 now AU$243 at Amazon

If you're finding yourself a bit baffled by Bose's huge range of QuietComfort headphones, we don't blame you. This SC variant gets you the audio brand's current mainstream (and well-regarded) noise-cancelling over-ears with a soft carry case – thus the 'SC' – rather than the hard case the regular version comes with. The cans themselves are identical. We haven't reviewed this pair but they are a modest update on the four-star QuietComfort 45, which we praised for superb noise-cancelling and, OK battery life and decent sound.

Bose QuietComfort Headphones
Save 46% (AU$205)
Bose QuietComfort Headphones: was AU$448 now AU$243 at Amazon

This pair of Bose QC Headphones is the exact same as the model above, the only difference being these are available in a wider choice of colours, and they come with a hard-shell carry case instead.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones
Save 5% (AU$20)
Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones: was AU$398 now AU$378 at Amazon

The first-gen Bose QC Ultra Headphones are superb. While they've now been replaced by a newer model, this set still delivers class-leading noise-cancellation, backed up with exceptional sound quality. We personally weren't too convinced by the Immersive Audio mode, but the fact it doesn't discriminate against source or streaming service means there is still plenty of appeal.

Sony WH-1000XM6
PRODUCT OF THE YEAR
Save 27% (AU$186.95)
Sony WH-1000XM6: was AU$699.95 now AU$513 at Amazon

Our Product of the Year, the Sony XM6 serve up exceptional levels of detail and a spacious sound. ANC is among the very best you'll find, too. We wish they supported audio over USB-C, but otherwise, they're sensational. Note, however, that only the pink model gets a significant price cut. The best price is on the Dusty Pink model.

Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S3
Save 31% (AU$214.34)
Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S3: was AU$699 now AU$484.66 at Amazon

These B&W headphones are gorgeous to both look at and listen to. As we said in our review of these headphones, they "dig deep into your music, eschewing a broad or general sonic overview and instead pulling out instrumental timbres with the relentless curiosity and enthusiasm of a bloodhound on the scent of a new lead.

Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless
Save 56% (AU$309.95)
Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless: was AU$549.95 now AU$240 at Amazon

This Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless might have now been replaced, but they're still a stunning set of over-ears that deserve a mention. They sound great, have effective ANC, solid battery life at 60 hours and an excellent app. No wonder they scored a five-star review. Various colours receive significant discounts.

Sennheiser HDB 630
Save 25% (AU$251)
Sennheiser HDB 630: was AU$1,000 now AU$749 at Amazon

The Sennheiser HDB 630 over-ears unearth plenty of detail and dynamism from your music thanks to an included USB-C dongle. At AU$999 RRP they're certainly an investment, but a 20% discount helps. You can read our Sennheiser HDB 630 review for more details.

Sennheiser HD 505
Save 50% (AU$224.95)
Sennheiser HD 505: was AU$449.95 now AU$225 at Amazon

These open-back Sennheiser headphones are extremely comfortable to wear over longer periods and deliver "as easy-going a listen as you could hope for". They're balanced, clear and are able to serve up excellent levels of detail, particularly in the mid-range.

Sennheiser HD 560S
Save 22% (AU$71.95)
Sennheiser HD 560S: was AU$319.95 now AU$248 at Amazon

We may have only rated this pair of Sennheiser over ears four out of five stars, but much of the criticism fades into the background given this 22% saving. We love their spacious, detailed and tonally balanced sound as well as their comfortable design and solid build.

Sennheiser HD 599
Save 63% (AU$201)
Sennheiser HD 599: was AU$320 now AU$119 at Amazon

The open-backed HD 599 promise a "natural tonal balance" and "spatial presentation", plus comfy velour earpads and detachable cables.

Sennheiser HD 620S
Save 42% (AU$252.95)
Sennheiser HD 620S: was AU$599.95 now AU$347 at Amazon

Sennheiser's delivered something special with the HD 620S, which offer the expansive and spacious acoustics of open-back headphones in a closed-back design. This audiophile-grade pair of over-ears earned 4 stars in our Sennheiser HD 620S review, where we praised their "detailed and smooth sound".

Apple AirPods Max
Save 14% (AU$128.24)
Apple AirPods Max: was AU$899 now AU$770.76 at Amazon

Apple's first-generation AirPods Max took home an Award back in 2021 for several reasons. These noise-cancelling over-ears are wonderful to use, boast spatial audio support and stake their claim as some of the very best-sounding wireless headphones we have heard. Their successor does offer improvements across the board, but this discount makes these an easier recommendation.

Earfun Air
Save 37% (AU$22.02)
Earfun Air: was AU$59.99 now AU$37.97 at Amazon

These true wireless buds are a bargain at their full price, so picking a pair up for 33% off is something of a no-brainer if you want good sound but are on a super tight budget. Despite launching in 2020, we still rate the Earfun Airs 5/5 in our review – and they're one of the cheapest sets of earbuds we're comfortable recommending.

Sony WF-C510
Save 20% (AU$22)
Sony WF-C510: was AU$109.95 now AU$87.95 at Amazon

As the winner of a What Hi-Fi? 2025 Award, it's incredibly easy to recommend the WF-C510: they're compact, comfortable, IPX4 water resistant, and serve up a delightful, balanced sound – punching well about their sub-AU$100 price tag. Their one shortcoming is that they don't offer active noise cancelling, but given they have decent passive noise isolation (like most rubber-tip equipped in-ears) that shouldn't be an issue for most people.

Bose QuietComfort Earbuds
Save 41% (AU$119.90)
Bose QuietComfort Earbuds: was AU$289.95 now AU$170.05 at Amazon

Employing best-in-class noise cancellation, an unbelievably comfortable and secure fit, solid battery life and a feature-packed app, the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds are nothing short of exemplary.

Bose Ultra Open Earbuds
Save 41% (AU$184.90)
Bose Ultra Open Earbuds: was AU$449.95 now AU$265.05 at Amazon

These 4-star open earbuds from Bose offer a musical and entertaining sound, while also providing a comfortable and secure fit. If you've been tempted by the prospect of open earbuds, whereby the earpiece doesn't go into the ear canal, then Bose's debut pair are worthy of consideration.

Apple AirPods Pro 3
Save 23% (AU$99.02)
Apple AirPods Pro 3: was AU$429 now AU$329.98 at Amazon

If you're an Apple user, the AirPods Pro 3 makes a lot of sense. Serving up a comfortable fit, great sound and decent noise-cancellation, not to mention seamless connectivity. The price here doesn't quite match the all-time low of AU$299 seen during the last Prime Day, but any saving on Apple tech is worth shouting about.

Bowers & Wilkins Pi8
Save 21% (AU$135.87)
Bowers & Wilkins Pi8: was AU$649 now AU$513.13 at Amazon

They are still expensive for a set of in-ear headphones, we know, but the Award-winning B&W Pi8 are unlike any pair of earbuds we've heard before. They are exceptionally detailed in their audio delivery and the ANC onboard can comfortably compete with the very best. A number of other useful features only add to their appeal.

JBL Live Beam 3
Save 33% (AU$81.95)
JBL Live Beam 3: was AU$249.95 now AU$168 at Amazon

We like the smooth, easy-going sound produced by these JBL earbuds in our review. Add in the fact they have a useful, interactive case and a heap of customisable features, and you have yourself an excellent pair of in-ear headphones.

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4
Save 51% (AU$252)
Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 : was AU$499 now AU$247 at Amazon

We gave these stunning earbuds 5 stars out of 5 in our Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 review, praising their rich, detailed and dynamic sound and comfortable fit. ANC isn't quite best-in-class, but they still do a mighty fine job of blocking out external noise. They're simply terrific, especially at this price.

Technics EAH-AZ100
Save 34% (AU$168)
Technics EAH-AZ100: was AU$499 now AU$331 at Amazon

These Technics buds deliver a sound packed with detail and clarity, and one that is entirely engaging. ANC is great, and they're packed with useful features. The best price is on the blue colourway.

Speakers

JBL Grip
Save 46% (AU$60)
JBL Grip: was AU$129.95 now AU$69.95 at Amazon

The JBL Grip plugs the gap between the smaller Clip and formidable Flip. It's a compact speaker that delivers a big sound, offers impressive protection against dust and water and has some nifty LED lighting on its rear. The Flip 7 is still our top recommendation, but with the Grip now down to a low AU$69.95 (in yellow and turquoise colours) it's well worth your consideration.

Bose SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen)
Save 41% (AU$102.70)
Bose SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen): was AU$249.95 now AU$147.25 at Amazon

If you don't need a super-tough rugged exterior, this second-generation Bose SoundLink Flex, which launched in late 2024, is a good choice. While the exterior is quite sleek compared to the UE and JBL counterparts, it's still waterproof and delivers sound with a clear and detailed midrange. It's also perfectly portable, but it's perhaps best suited to being taken outside to the pool, rather than on a full hiking trip.

Ultimate Ears EPICBOOM wireless Bluetooth speaker
Save 20% (AU$100.95)
Ultimate Ears EPICBOOM wireless Bluetooth speaker: was AU$499.95 now AU$399 at Amazon

The Ultimate Ears Epicboom delivers an expansive soundstage, backed by a strong feature set. It's not the absolute last word in musicality, but it's a great option for outdoor parties, especially with this hefty discount.

Harman Kardon Luna 2
Save 57% (AU$130)
Harman Kardon Luna 2: was AU$229.95 now AU$99.95 at Amazon

We said this Harman Kardon speaker delivers one of the "most articulate and vocally impressive performances this sort of money can buy" in our review, and that was at full price. Now it's better than half price, it's an absolute steal.

KEF Muo
Save 20% (AU$92)
KEF Muo: was AU$460 now AU$368 at Amazon

It's still expensive for a portable Bluetooth speaker, but this all-new KEF Muo (released roughly a year ago) is a great performer, although perhaps not quite the slam dunk the brand was hoping for. Still, it delivers an expressive, expansive sound, is built to a high standard and has protection against dust and water.

WiiM Sound Lite
Save 20% (AU$80)
WiiM Sound Lite: was AU$399 now AU$319 at Amazon

WiiM's first smart speaker is a success, and this Lite version is the more affordable of two models (the other is the Sound), with the main differentiator being it doesn't have a screen. You can read our WiiM Sound review for more details, but the short of it is, this is an impressive speaker with a pleasing sonic character, and we love the fact it's brimming with connectivity features.

If you do want the screen, the WiiM Sound also gets a 20% discount.

KEF LSX II
Prime-exclusive
Save 20% (AU$460)
KEF LSX II: was AU$2,300 now AU$1,840 at Amazon

Exhibiting a similarly gorgeous design to their LS50 Meta cousins, the LSX II speaker system benefits from the esteemed brand’s Uni-Q driver that creates “a stereo image that’s like a bubble of sound”, as we said in our KEF LSX II review. All of the main wireless connectivity options are supported, along with a few physical connections and high-resolution audio. The deal price here is for multiple colours.

Hi-Fi components

Audio-Technica Sound Burger
Save 42% (AU$182)
Audio-Technica Sound Burger: was AU$429 now AU$247 at Amazon

It has dropped to AU$213 before, but this is still a great saving on the iconic Sound Burger record player. It's cleverly designed and easy of use, and makes a fabulous entry into vinyl sound.

Sony PS-LX310BT
Save 36% (AU$143.45)
Sony PS-LX310BT: was AU$399 now AU$255.55 at Amazon

This Sony turntable is as fuss-free as they come concerning setup and getting your favourite vinyl records spinning – in fact, we liked it so much we awarded it 5/5 stars in our 2020 review. Whether you're playing via wired or wireless speakers, it delivers a delightfully musical sound that will satisfy vinyl beginners or those looking for a more hands-off approach. It has Bluetooth so can stream vinyl to your wireless speakers too.

Technics SL-40CBT
Save 23% (AU$300)
Technics SL-40CBT: was AU$1,299 now AU$999 at Amazon

Technics unveiled this new spinner at IFA 2025, with the new model combining its direct-drive design with the ability to stream wirelessly over Bluetooth. Other features include an S-shaped tonearm, Audio-Technica AT-VM95C cartridge and a built-in MM phono stage.

KEF KC62 Subwoofer
Save 20% (AU$500)
KEF KC62 Subwoofer: was AU$2,500 now AU$2,000 at Amazon

It's not a huge saving, we admit, but KEF's KC62 sub is an absolute beauty, and so any discount applied shouldn't be sniffed at. It offers incredibly powerful and clean bass for its tiny size, and is a breeze to set up. Available in mineral white or titanium grey.

Home cinema

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Plus
Save 54% (AU$53.40)
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Plus: was AU$99 now AU$45.60 at Amazon

This isn't a new Fire streaming device, but rather a renamed Fire TV 4K. This version of Amazon's media streamer supports Dolby Vision/Atmos and HDR10+, giving you the best-possible picture quality. The one thing it doesn't have is the Alexa voice control remote, which does come with the TV Stick 4K Max.

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max
Save 49% (AU$57.15)
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max: was AU$117 now AU$59.85 at Amazon

The more powerful sibling to the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, the Max offers improved Wi-Fi performance and a faster processor – letting you traverse every major streaming service easily and lag-free. Perfect for those who want a stress-free, high-value addition to the lounge room, all you have to do is plug it in like any HDMI cord. We have seen it AU$10 cheaper before, but this is still a great deal.

Fire TV Cube
Prime exclusive
Save 35% (AU$77.45)
Fire TV Cube: was AU$219 now AU$141.55 at Amazon

If you're dissatisfied with the performance of your smart TV's native interface, Amazon's Fire TV Cube is the brand's top streaming device, offering lightning-fast app loading thanks to its octa-core processor – which is 2x more powerful than its Fire TV Stick 4K Max sibling (above). Via Prime Video, you can stream more than 350K movies and TV shows, with access to all of your favourite streamers and free-to-air catch-up apps, and there's a speaker so you can use it for audio even when your TV is turned off. The Fire TV Cube is basically as feature-packed as streaming devices can get.

Sony HT-S100F
Save 30% (AU$74)
Sony HT-S100F: was AU$249 now AU$175 at Amazon

Despite being over 5 years old, we still reckon this already-affordable 2-channel Sony model is the best cheap soundbar you can buy in 2026 – and this discount makes it even easier to recommend. While it has been a smidge cheaper (it was AU$169 during the last Prime Day, for example), this is still a great price for a well-built 'bar that will improve your TV's sound with minimum hassle.

Sony HT-A3000
Save 49% (AU$485.01)
Sony HT-A3000: was AU$999 now AU$513.99 at Amazon

This 3.1-channel Sony soundbar is a few years old now, but it's still a top performer, especially for the money. We gave it four stars when we reviewed it, praising it for its detail retrieval and tonal balance. Height effects aren't the most convincing we've come across, but ultimately this will work wonders to boost the sound from your TV.

Bose Smart Ultra soundbar
Save 41% (AU$610.01)
Bose Smart Ultra soundbar: was AU$1,499 now AU$888.99 at Amazon

In our Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar review, we did say it struggled dynamically compared to some other models, but it still offers an expansive sonic presentation, and it's built to an incredibly high standard. This 41% discount makes it a lot easier to recommend.

Xgimi Vibe One
Save 26% (AU$154)
Xgimi Vibe One: was AU$599 now AU$445 at Amazon

We said this affordable projector "nails the basics" in our Xgimi Vibe One review, as it's able to serve up a wonderfully natural picture. You will need to tweak some contrast and sharpness settings to achieve it, but thankfully it's easy to do so.

Nebula Capsule 3 Projector
Save 41% (AU$450.99)
Nebula Capsule 3 Projector: was AU$1,099.99 now AU$649 at Amazon

This mini home projector from Anker can display images up to 120 inches in size, with 200 ANSI lumens of brightness. It's portable too, offering up to 2.5 hours of battery life. It didn't score that highly with us, but we appreciated its ease of use and its SDR performance. The saving here is thanks to an extra 30% off at checkout.

Anker Nebula Mars 3
Save 56% (AU$1,400.02)
Anker Nebula Mars 3: was AU$2,499.99 now AU$1,099.97 at Amazon

It did go slightly lower in price during Prime Day, but this is still a good price on the Nebula Mars 3 projector. It serves up great brightness levels for a portable model, although you'll benefit most from watching at night.

Amazon Prime Day Australia FAQ

What is Amazon Prime Day?

Amazon Prime Day is Amazon's bi-annual sales event, conceived in response to other major sales such as Black Friday. The first Prime Day was held in 2018, one year after Amazon arrived Down Under. While other online retailers get involved in the Black Friday bargain bun fight, Prime Day is generally all about Amazon, though you might see other retailers lowering prices at the same time in order to jump on the sales frenzy bandwagon and stay competitive during that period.

Prime Day is a big sale that encompasses most areas of the Amazon site – as well as audiovisual gear, you'll find discounts on toasters, books, clothes, and pretty much anything that Amazon sells. And that's a lot!

You'll need to be a Prime member to take advantage of the best offers. Not yet a member? Amazon’s free 30-day Prime trial gives you the option to sign up, bag a few bargains during the sale, and cancel your membership without paying a cent. Go you.

Prime Day 2026 dates: when is Prime Day in Australia?

There have already been two Amazon sales in Australia in 2026. The first was the Big Smile Sale, that showed up in March, running for seven days from Monday, March 16 until Sunday, March 22.

The main Prime Day followed next, kicking off on on Tuesday, July 7. It also ran for seven days, coming to an end on Monday, July 13. Amazon Prime Day sales in other countries took place a little earlier in June, but we had the EOFY sales here in Australia, so it seemed logical that Amazon would avoid that.

What Prime Day 2026 deals can I expect?

It's always tricky to confidently assume what deals will appear during Prime Day – although Amazon devices are a shoo-in – but based on previous Prime Day sales, we reckon JBL Bluetooth speakers, Sony wireless buds and Bose headphones are all safe bets. AirPods also tend to get a look in — the AirPods Pro 3 dropped to a record-low AU$299 in July. It would be great if that happened again, but we're not holding out breath.

Other popular items from previous Amazon Prime Day sales have included the Sony WH-1000XM5 and older WH-1000XM4 noise-cancelling headphones, Amazon Echo Show smart speakers and Fire TV video streamers, Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones, WiiM streamers and amplifiers and KEF speakers.

Sonos, Sennheiser, Sony and Bose products — particularly headphones — have been known to appear during Prime Day sales, so if you have your eye on something from one of the bigger brands, there's a good chance some money will be lopped off it.

What about hi-fi? Unfortunately, Prime Day tends to spotlight more mass-market product categories such as TVs, soundbars and Bluetooth speakers for deals, meaning that discounts on hi-fi gear are far and few between.

While some other retailers drop their prices to piggyback the Amazon Prime events, Black Friday remains the best time of the year to buy hi-fi at discounted prices due to many specialist hi-fi retailers getting on board the more encompassing sale.

How much does Amazon Prime cost in 2026?

First things first: to be eligible for Prime Day discounts, you need Amazon Prime. This is effectively a membership fee that gives you free standard international delivery on select orders over AU$49 or free expedited delivery (in select areas) on eligible items bought from Amazon, as well as access to the Prime Video and Amazon Music streaming services (but not Amazon Music Unlimited – that costs extra), free ebooks, and the ability to share some of these benefits with others in your household.

Amazon Prime costs AU$9.99 a month, or AU$79 if you pay yearly (saving you AU$40 compared to paying monthly). Changed your mind? You can cancel your Prime membership on the Manage Prime Membership page.

And if you haven't placed a Prime-eligible order or used any of your Prime benefits within your membership, you'll be refunded in full.

There's an Amazon Prime free trial, too. Sign up, select 'Start my free trial', and you'll have access to Prime for 30 days with nothing to pay.

That means you can sign up, take advantage of the deals, and then cancel your trial before the 30 days end and not be charged your second month's fee for Prime. Not that we would condone such behaviour, of course!

To be eligible for the trial, you can't have subscribed to Prime in the last 12 months.

Prime Day Australia 2026 shopping tips

1. Sign up for the free Prime trial
If you're new to Amazon Prime, make sure you take advantage of the 30-day free Prime trial. And remember to cancel if you don't want a monthly bill for AU$9.99 when the trial ends.

2. Google a product before buying
Not every Prime Day deal in 2026 is going to be a winner, so make sure you compare prices online before you buy, and, of course, check reviews to make sure the product is worth buying at all!

We at What Hi-Fi? work tirelessly to call out the best deals on the consumer electronics categories we cover – our job, after all, is to point customers towards the best products on the market – so if we haven't included one in our deals coverage, there's usually a good reason for it!

3. Big brands can equal big savings
Amazon often slashes the cost of a few big-brand items – think Playstation and Xbox accessories, Samsung TVs and tablets, etc – to get the attention of shoppers. Keep an eye out for these 'marquee' deals.

4. Check the Amazon Warehouse
Returned goods end up on sale at the Amazon Warehouse at a decent discount, so there's a chance you could spot an open-box bargain that beats the box-fresh Prime Day price.

5. Stay tuned to whathifi.com
Amazon unleashes thousands of deals around Prime Day, which can make it tricky to find genuine bargains on five-star tech and AV. That's why we'll be publishing an up-to-the-minute list of the very best Prime Day 2026 deals.
