Klipsch crunches its prices for Christmas

Other reductions include a £70 saving on the Klipsch RoomGroove wireless iPod dock, down from £200 to £130, £20 off the Klipsch iGroove SXT and HG iPod docks which are both now £80, and the Klipsch Custom-1 earphones are reduced from £70 to £50.

Products will only be available at these prices while stocks last, and Amazon is offering some of the above products at further reductions for a limited period.

As well as the price cuts, Klipsch is also launching a slightly larger version of the Image in-ear headphones, the £130 X5 model (pictured). By making the diameter of the X5s just 2mm larger than the X10s, they're easier and cheaper to manufactuer, says Klipsch.

"With the addition of the X5, we are naming the original Image model X10 and establishing it as the flagship model within the line," says Tony Ostrom, Klipsch director of product marketing.

Technology-wise, the X5 and the X10 differ in that the X10 uses a balanced full-range armature micro-driver. The X10 is designed for listeners who prefer a lot of bass in their music, while the X5 has a superior top-end and more forward voicing.

You can now buy Klipsch's products online through its new UK website which will augment its existing retail network.
