Vivanco SHQ1112D review

Its a stablemate to the Prowire series of cables, but this Vivanco has more assurance and composure Tested at £40.00

Our Verdict

At this comfortable price, this Vivanco's rather tempting

For

  • Good composure with high frequencies
  • rounded presentation
  • good price

Against

  • Needs more 'oomph'

Ostensibly sired from the same stock as the stablemate Prowire range, this Vivanco is an appreciably better cable.

It injects composure into higher frequencies, polishing the Prowire PW21115's occasionally brittle treble excess into a more assured, enjoyable whole.

You'll still find yourself yearning for some more oomph – kickdrums can sound a little hollow, deep basslines a shade too shallow – but at the price, the presentation is commendably rounded.
