Ecosse The Director SE review

We like this Ecosse for its sense of space and its capable handling of higher frequencies

Our Verdict

Spacious sounding and great with higher frequencies

For

  • Great sense of space
  • good with higher frequencies
  • nice styling

Against

  • Rivals are cheaper and offer more

At this lofty price, the Ecosse has its work cut out, but at first listen this modestly styled cable has plenty to offer.

It's a spacious-sounding performer, offering a welcome advantage in openness and high-frequency expression compared with its budget rivals.

But rivals are cheaper, while offering as much capability for less of your money. Given that some of these rivals are up to £20 less, that's enough to dock a star from the Director SE.
