Audioquest Optilink-A review

Not the most impressive cable for £20 Tested at £20.00

Our Verdict

Your £20 could go a lot further than here

For

  • Looks good and has flexible connectivity

Against

  • Lacking in scale, substance and space

AudioQuest makes a habit of presenting presentable cables and this Optilink-A is no exception, the black PVC jacket – ooh err missus – looking smart and providing good flexibility when it comes to connecting.

Sonically it's a little less impressive, even when the meagre price is taken in to account. If you're going to splash out the best part of £20, we'd like a sound with a little more scale and space, and for the bottom frequencies to be tighter.

Lots of style but lacking substance.
