Anyone heard the above?

Thinking of getting it but it is hard to work out if it will be an improvement on the DAC in my SB Touch.

Thanks Cypher, will be interesting to hear your thoughts.

Are you currently using a SB Touch by the way?

I did not buy the rLink. The V-dac II sounds much better and I also got to hear the Musical Fidelity M1 dac.

Bought the M1 dac............extremely happy with the sound.

RE: Arcam rLink

Hi,

I am thinking of buying a Arcam rLink... Does anyone know if it is possible to listen to music from a Macbook pro with its Optical Audio out to the rLink (plugged to a Amplifier with the Phono plugs obviously) ? In other words like the Arcam rPac but not with the USB but with the Optical output of the Mac. It seems to me more clever than using the USB (quality wise)?

Thanks

With a modern DAC general no, USB is better. Especially if, like the rPAC, it has asynchronous USB. USB has less jitter than optical too.
