Pairing Apple Remote app and Itunes
Hi
I have been using the Remote app on my iPad to control iTunes for some time with no problem. However, today it just stopped working. I decided to download it again and set it up. When I did this, it gave me a four digit code to enter and told me to select "iPad" from the Devices list. However, I cannot find the Devices list. The only thing I can find is the Devices tab under iTunes preferences. here it tells me that iTunes is not paired with any remotes but it does not give me any option to pair them up. So, How do I pair the Remote app and iTunes?

It was the router. Becasue all my devices could access the Internet, I didn't realise that they couldn't see each other over the network. Once I rebooted the router everything worked fine. Computer music is great when it works but it can be so frustrating when it doesn't. Apple help is also beyond useless.

Try rebooting your iPad, iTunes device and router first.
