Sanyo unveils wireless Full HD DLP projector

Sanyo PDG-DHT100L projector

The latter enables wireless, uncompressed video transmission at 720p or 1080i resolution (but not 1080p) over a distance of up to 100 feet from the transmitter to the projector.

Other key features include a dual-lamp system that increases colour reproduction and light output efficiency, plus Sanyo's Active Maintenance Filter (AMF) to reduce the amount of maintenance required.

When wired directly to the source component (rather than using wireless video transmission), the projector delivers a Full HD (1920 x 1080) video signal at 6500 Lumens. It's fitted with two 330 watt HP bulbs.

"The two-lamp PDG-DHT100L is practically maintenance-free with our latest optical engine, 24/7 lamp interval function and exclusive AMF system that controls dust automaticallly," says Mark Holt, vice president and general manager for Sanyo's Presentation Technologies division.

The PDG-DHT100L comes with two interchangeable colour wheels, one optimised for high brightness, the other for richer colour reproduction. The user can fit whichever one they prefer.

The projector is also equipped with a new, dust-resistant, sealed optical engine that prevents dust build up to maintain optimum brightness and contrast.

Key technical highlights include:

Contrast ratio: 7,500:1

Brightness: 6,500 ANSI Lumens

Screen size: 50in min, 600in max

Video inputs: HDMI, DVI-D, Mini D-Sub 15, BNC x 5, S-Video
