The manufacturer claims the C725BEE delivers the performance of separate high-end components in the convenience of a one-box receiver, at a more affordable price.
Edvardsen is responsible for the analogue design of the new receiver, which also incorporates several of his other developments such as PowerDrive, Distortion Cancelling Circuit, the BEE Clamp and a new circuit layout.
PowerDrive automatiically adjust the power supply settings to best cope with a speaker's impedance characteristics.
Based on the same type of high-current Toroidal transformer used in NAD's separate components, the C725BEE delivers 50W of power.
DAB module is optional
The FM/AM tuner has 30 presets, supports RDS and there's a socket on the rear panel for connecting NAD's optional DB 1 DAB module.
Audiophile features include multi-way speaker binding posts, gold-plated input sockets and an output for adding a powered subwoofer.
A line level zone 2 output with independent source selection lets users add an amplifier in another location and listen to all audio sources connected to the C725BEE.
There are also seven high-level inputs, a front panel mini jack for connecting portable devices, an IR remote control and two-line fluorescent display.
For custom installation, there's an RS-232 port compatible with Crestron, AMX and Savant system controllers and a 12v trigger input and output.
The NAD C725BEE is available now in graphite or titanium finishes. It's distributed in the UK by Armour Home Electronics.
