Comeau has more than 30 years experience in the audio industry. He was co-founder and technical director of British loudspeaker manufacturer Heybrook, prior to joining Mission as director of acoustic design in 1999. He also acted as a consultant for flat speaker specialist NXT.
At IAG, Comeau will be responsible for all IAG's domestic audio brands, including Wharfedale, Mission, Quad, Castle and Audiolab.
He will largely be based in Asia, where IAG's factories are based, but will also work closely with IAG's UK facilities in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
"I am delighted to have joined IAG at this critical point in the company's history," says Comeau. "These are all brand names that I have known, and revered, since my youth."
Well-known speaker designs by Peter Comeau include the Award-winning Heybrook HB1 and Mission 780, and the Mission 782, Volare V63 and Elegante E8.
