In our five-star B&W 607 S3 review, we called them "entertaining in spades" and "a delight". Their clarity, refinement and detail, along with plenty of punch and dynamism, won them a handful of What Hi-Fi? Awards. A musically entertaining powered speaker system that's compact, fuss-free and packs plenty of connectivity to plug in a laptop, TV, turntable or mobile device. The Award-winning ELAC Debut ConneX DCB41 were good value before, but this discount is a tremendous deal.

We love a good deal on this excellent, if plain-looking, Sony Bluetooth turntable. The PS-LX310BT is a plug-and-play fully automatic design that includes phono stage and can connect to up to eight Bluetooth headphones or speakers. A great budget buy for a Bluetooth turntable that is well built and sounds entertaining, especially for under £200. We've seen the price drop even further during Black Friday sales, so keep an eye out.

This Award-winning Technics is one of the best-sounding, fuss-free direct drive record players we've heard for under a grand. Its rock-solid build is coupled with a solid, stable and commanding sound, while the fact it comes with a built-in phono stage is a boon at this level, making it easy to incorporate into most music systems. This deal price is available across all three finishes.

Robust build quality with all the DJ trappings, it's no wonder Technics remains a go-to for vinyl fans. The premium SL-1200GR Mk2 version sounds clean, punchy and muscular, and is a delight to use. And it's even more delightful with this £50 saving.

Audio-Technica’s excellent LP5x turntable is another deck that has stood the test of time, delivering a richly detailed, robust and sure-footed performance that's enjoyable and easy to use. It comes with a very good built-in phono stage for both MC and MM cartridges, has a USB port for ripping vinyl into digital files, and is sleek and sturdy.

Even with the new A5+ now on the scene, the original, What Hi-Fi? Award-winning Arcam A5 is still a well-rounded performer. It features three line-level inputs, a moving magnet phono stage, digital inputs and Bluetooth connectivity. It's still a seriously entertaining amp, especially at this discounted price.

It also sounds wonderful, with a cohesive, punchy and deeply musical performance. An amp that's made to be enjoyed, and has been our favourite for an entry-level amp for many years.

A compact, unique, delightful amplifier based on a classic favourite, with ample connections (phono stage, digital inputs, Bluetooth, headphone jack). An enthusiastic performer that's brilliant with timing and dynamics, the D 3020 V2 is perfect for those who want a tiny but mighty system that will fit into the smallest room or on a desk for the home office.

Combining a refined and articulate sound with a good mix of features, the older Audiolab 6000A is an excellent mid-priced amplifier, especially at this hugely discounted price on the black finish. We originally tested it at £599, but the price has crept up in recent years – although we have seen it dip as low as £299 a few weeks ago.

If you're looking for a performance-first amplifier, this no-frills integrated could be the open, muscular and refined powerhouse your system needs. It goes without digital connections and even phono and headphone stages, offering purely five sets of line-level inputs (and a preamp output and tape loop). But if you can live with this limited feature count, the M2si deserves to make your shortlist at this massive discounted price – but hurry, stock is low.

It's not every day that we see a deal as good as this. We tested the SA550 Classic at its full price and found it to be "a rich-sounding and entertaining amp". Now, with a massive £1000 discount, we think the appeal has gone up multiple notches. Expect stylish retro-inspired looks, a solid build, decent features, and a rich, likeable sound.

Any money off this excellent, multiple Award-winning DragonFly Cobalt DAC is welcome and this is a sizable discount from its original RRP. Want to boost your laptop, PC or mobile sound? This dinky USB device will do it tenfold, and is the easiest, most plug-and-play device that features just one 3.5mm headphone jack. It's simple but so effective.

This compact DAC and headphone amp has ample connectivity to boost your laptop-based listening as well as fit into a more traditional budget hi-fi system. An upgrade over the Award-winning Zen DAC V2, the new Zen DAC 3 features a USB-C input, fixed and variable line outputs, 4.4mm and 6.3mm headphone sockets, and maximum hi-res format support (across PCM, DSD and MQA). It offers a clean, smooth and spacious presentation, and while we'd like a touch more energy and rhythmic precision, it's an easy-going sound that offers a welcome sonic boost to your system.

The Audiolab M-DAC+ gets an awful lot right – so much, in fact, it comfortably justifies its ‘+’ designation. Lavishly detailed, fastidiously organised and elegantly straight-edged in its sound, it absolutely demands an audition. It helps that it's one of the best-connected DAC/headphone amplifiers, too.

The Audiolab 6000N Play streamer is well-equipped, easy to use, and produces a clear, informative and entertaining sound. Anyone looking for a budget network audio player should jump at the chance to own this former Award-winning performer – but hurry, as stock is very low.

The Naim Uniti Atom Headphone Edition is a network music streamer and headphone-amp version of the full Naim Uniti Atom streaming system. Not only does it look super, but it also offers class-leading clarity and insight with precise timing and a great dynamic range. We use this unit as a reference streamer in our test rooms, so any discount is a bonus.

For silver disc fans who are after a budget CD player (that includes a DAC), none comes more highly recommended than this excellent, premium-feeling Marantz CD6007, which has been a What Hi-Fi? Award winner for many years than we frankly care to remember.

A multiple Award-winner that has stood the test of time, the utterly reliable Cyrus CDi remains a favourite for its incredibly detailed, precise, fast and agile performance. We loved its dynamic and articulate character even when the price shot to £1495, but now with this deal price plunging it down to its original £999 price, this is a stonkingly good deal that CD fans shouldn't miss out on.

If you want a high-performing CD transport that delivers incredibly insightful, precise and engaging sound quality, this Cyrus CD t is worth considering. This chunky saving off its current (high) asking price is very welcome. If your hi-fi system already has a decent DAC in the chain, this superb transport will be easy to accommodate.

A compact and versatile streaming amplifier that brings a whole host of wireless streaming connectivity and multi-room powers to your system. It boasts 80W per channel, the comprehensive BluOS streaming platform, and HDMI eARC. There is a newer 2025 version, but this Powernode is a great option for smaller spaces, with an informative and entertaining presentation that has a neutral balance.

If you're looking to build a system from scratch, the Roksan Attessa Streaming Amplifier is a solid starting point. It combines 80W per channel of amplification with great build quality, streaming smarts based on the excellent BluOS platform, and a rhythmic, agile and musical sound. All you need to do is add a pair of speakers, and you've got a tidy but premium hi-fi system.

This compact all-in-one streaming system took all the ingredients from the brilliant five-star KEF LSX II (below), dropped some features and connectivity, but kept the same sound performance – a smart move. The LSX II LT is a great space-saving, versatile solution for desktop streaming or as TV speakers.

This wireless all-in-one is the middle child of KEF's standmount speaker system range, and it offers a sweet spot: wonderfully versatile, packed with features and a compact form that looks stunning. It's taken what was already a winning formula and introduced some key upgrades that improve functionality – and the LSX II remains a talented set-up that sings with any genre of music sent its way.

This all-in-one streaming system with a built-in CD player and amplifier is a fantastic option for anyone short on space but yearning for great hi-fi sound. The five-star Technics SA-C600 impressed us with an expressive, punchy sound that is also surprisingly authoritative and large-scale. Simply add speakers to this sleek system and you're good to go.

The versatile Audiolab Omnia is extremely easy to listen to, and we can imagine many being more than content with its smooth, pleasant presentation. If you’re after a high-performing CD-and-streaming system with all the bells and whistles you can think of, this Audiolab is well worth considering. Its price has been slashed considerably from its original RRP, making it terrific value.

Despite its age, the Naim Mu-so 2nd gen holds its own against an ever-expanding array of wireless speakers and streaming systems. Featuring a stunning all-in-one premium design, the Mu-so 2 offers rich, powerful sound, comprehensive streaming features and a user-friendly app. If you’re looking for a single, capable unit to handle all things audio (and some TV), then this huge saving on a brilliant product is worth exploring. The original price was £1299, and this is the lowest deal price we've ever seen.

The five-star SR35 is still our favourite portable hi-res music player and now it's back to its lowest-ever price. You can pick it up for £200 cheaper than the price we reviewed it at, taking it to just £599 – for its stellar sound quality, this is a great saving.
