Austrian Grand Prix live stream: preview

Max Verstappen will start today's Austrian GP on pole after a dominant win in yesterday's Sprint race saw him edged out onto the grass on the first lap by teammate and championship rival Sergio Perez. Will the pair clash again today? 

It's been a hugely disappointing race weekend for Mercedes so far. The German constructor, which recently introduced substantial car upgrades, had been hoping to see Hamilton make an emphatic move on Sergio Perez in the drivers' standings today. It's still possible, but only because the Mexican had another terrible Qualifying session on Friday.

Verstappen went 0.048 seconds clear of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc in Friday quali, with Carlos Sainz just behind in third. Lando Norris starts fourth in the upgraded McLaren and Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton goes from fifth, ahead of the Aston Martins of Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso. Red Bull's Sergio Perez failed to make Q1.

Elsewhere, F1 has also announced that it's piloting a "more efficient energy generation system" at the Red Bull Ring this weekend. Whether it negates the impact of travelling from Spain to Austria via Canada remains to be seen...
