Xbox 360
Following on from the price cuts in the US, the Xbox 360 has officially had its price chopped in the UK and Europe, with £30 being shaved off each model's price

Microsoft can now lay claim to the title of cheapest current generation console, thanks to price cuts for all three existing Xbox 360 models. The cheapest unit is now less than the Wii and the PS3.

Effective from this Friday, the basic Arcade unit will now retail at £130, down from £160, the standard 60GB model will now retail at £170, down from £200, while the 120GB Elite model will now cost £230, down from £260.

For once, this puts the price of the Xbox 360 in the UK in the same ball-park as the US price, which is nice. And with Christmas around the corner, expect to see prices even lower as the console wars kick-off again...
