Naim DAC
Naim has a new DAC in development which it's previewing at the Bristol Show in conjunction with its HDX music player

We've already brought you news of Naim's Uniti all-in-one hi-fi system here at the show, but tucked away on the company's stand is another product we haven't seen before – a new DAC.

It's very much work in progress, but is being developed as "an innovative way of turning digits into analogue", according to a Naim spokesman. "It's designed for people who use a laptop or PC to play their music."

Naim is demonstrating the unit here at Bristol with its HDX music player, so you can come and hear it for yourself.

The yet-to-be-named DAC is expected to go on sale in May/June for around £2000, and will be available with an external XPS or 555PS power supply as an option.
