BRAVIA CORE features Pure Stream, which can stream HDR movies at up to 80Mbps – similar to 4K UHD Blu-ray –on a wide range of content. It is also home to the largest available collection of IMAX Enhanced titles, as well as behind-the-scenes studio access and tons of Sony blockbusters.

Right, let’s take a closer look at Currys’ exclusive Sony TVs

Sony BRAVIA XR A84K

The A84K looks like an absolute stunner. With exceptional colour, pure blacks for real-life depth and texture, and superior viewing angles, Sony OLED is simply stunning.. Expect top-notch sound from the Acoustic Surface Audio+, too. The screen is the speaker, so a combination of three actuators invisibly vibrate to create acoustics that move with the picture, delivering realistic high frequency sound, clear and natural dialogue, whilst the twin subwoofers boost bass.

Google TV is one of the fastest operating systems around, and provides access to a ton of apps, plus hands free voice search. So, for example, you could say "Hey Google, watch Stranger Things on Netflix" or "Hey Google,  what is the weather like tomorrow?"

The A84K looks nearly identical to the A80K – but A84K (exclusive to Currys) comes with a whole host of extras including Sony’s Rich Colour Enhancer, which enhances the mid tones for extra saturation while preserving natural colours. You also get 24 months’ access to BRAVIA CORE and 10 credits, plus a premium remote with voice-finder feature. By comparison, the A80K makes do with 12 months’ access to BRAVIA CORE . It also lacks the built-in microphones for hands-free searching.

Tempted? The A84K is available now in 55-inch, 65-inch and 77-inch screen sizes.

Sony BRAVIA XR X94K

Choose Sony’s X94K Full Array LED panel and you’ll be richly rewarded. The combination of this panel’s cutting-edge backlit screen and clever XR Motion Clarity tech, which reduces blur by inserting black images between images, should deliver an incredibly smooth and lifelike image. It also boasts Sony’s Acoustic Multi-Audio technology, which promises an incredible level of immersion by using sound positioning tweeters to ensure high frequency sounds come from exactly the right place in the scene. You also get the excellent Google TV smart platform, which lets you search for your favourite content or operate the TV hands-free.

Again, the X94K looks a lot like the more widely-known X90K. Except that the X94K includes a bundle of extras. In addition to Sony’s Rich Colour Enhancer tech, it comes with with 24 months’ access to BRAVIA CORE  and 10 credits, plus a premium voice remote for hands-free voice searching. The X90K makes do with 12 months’ access to BRAVIA CORE e and doesn’t include the premium remote.

Unlike the A84K OLED the X94K is available in a 50-inch size as well as 55-inch, 65-inch and 75-inch.

Sony BRAVIA X89K

Whether you’re into action-packed blockbusters or the latest video games, the X89K looks like a great mid-range option for those who want bang for buck. Fast-moving scenes should look superb thanks to the 120Hz refresh rate, while Sony’s 4K X-Reality Pro technology upscales HD content to 4K. Support for Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos sound provides the ability to experience the thrills and spills of the cinema in your own living room.

The X89K is similar to the X85K, but the former comes with some very tasty extras. For starters, you get 12 months’ access to BRAVIA CORE and 5 free credits – something the X85K misses out on entirely. The X89K also benefits from Sony’s Motionflow XR 1000 tech which promises to make pictures look smoother and more natural. The third and final upgrade is the hands free voice search (the X85K does not include this as it doesn’t have built-in mics).

The X89K is exclusive to Currys and available in 43-inch, 50-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch and 85-inch sizes.
