Gefen wireless HDMI
$1000 system accepts two HDMI inputs and one component video, and has a range of up to 10m

Gefen is using the 2009 CES to showcase its own take on wireless HD TV transmission, which is expected to be a major theme of this year's show.

The Californian company's Wireless HDMI Extender, which will sell for just under $1000 as a complete system, can take two HDMI feeds and beam them to a TV up to 10m away.

It supports 1080p Full HD at up to 30fps, has a choice of manual or automatic input switching, and can also carry a component video feed with stereo analogue audio.

Infrared remote commands can also be carried back from the receiving module to the sender, so an AV receiver, DVD/BD player or set-top box could be controlled remotely.
