The Masters is a unique, non-ranking snooker tournament that started back in 1975. The format is simple: the 16 highest-ranked players in the world pot it out for the Paul Hunter trophy over the course of a week.

Last year, Yan Bingtao delighted 100 million Chinese snooker fans by winning the prestigious event on his debut. Bingtao completed an 10–8 victory over John Higgins in the final after hot favourite Judd Trump tested positive for COVID-19.

This time around, Judd Trump was favourite to win the Paul Hunter trophy but lost to Barry Hawkins in yesterday's semi-final. Seven-time Masters champion Ronnie O'Sullivan is also out, as is former World Champion Mark Selby. The winner of the 2022 tournament will take home £250,000 in Masters prize money. The Rocket made the highest break (145) last year, earning himself a £15,000 bonus.

The tournament started on Sunday 9th January 2022 at 1pm GMT. The quarter finals were played on Thursday 13th, before the semi finals on Saturday 15th. The 2022 Cazoo Masters Final concludes today at 7pm GMT (Sunday 16th January).

UK snooker fans can watch every session free on BBC iPlayer. Read on to find out how to watch a free 2022 Masters live stream from anywhere.
