NEWS: Arcam's musical man aims for monster hit

Arcam's brand manager, Geoff Meads, is switching Solo systems for sung solos this week, as a musical he's co-written hits the stage and becomes the first ever show to be broadcast live on Secondlife.com.

Joined at the Heart, inspired by Mary Shelly's Frankenstein, opens tomorrow in Cambridge, with Saturday evening's performance appearing on Secondlife.com at 7.30pm (see http://secondlife.com/events/ for details). The show then goes on to the Edinburgh Fringe from 12-18th August.

Geoff has written the lyrics for Joined at the Heart, and - fittingly - is responsible for the musical's on-stage sound system. He's excited at the prospect of it being the first musical to be shown live on the internet.

"Music distribution has changed dramatically in recent years with the advent of MP3 and iPod. It seems highly apt that the world of musicals is going the same way", he says.

You can hear and download music from the show - and see all the venue and ticketing details - at the musical's website.
