Cambridge Audio is using the CEDIA Expo 2008 in Denver to preview its forthcoming Azur 640BD Blu-ray Disc player, which is due in the shops early next year.
The new machine will have bitstream output of all the latest HD Dolby and DTS surround-sound systems plus internal decoding of Dolby Digital EX, DTS ES, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD and DTS HR surround-sound.
Outputs run to HDMI 1.3 video/audio, Ethernet, coaxial/electrical and optical digital, and separate dedicated 7.1 and stereo analogue outputs.
The 640BD will also upscale DVDs to 1080p, and has 24fps output.
The player will be available in both silver or black, and the price is yet to be confirmed.
