Cable, analogue and satellite TV, multiroom wiring, HD cabling for TV, BD and home cinema speakers. and even iPod docks - that's the specification on offer in the new Quartermile development, on the site of Edinburgh's 270-year-old Royal Infirmary.
The developer says that the new apartments, which start from £170,000, will offer "one of the most comprehensive packages available on today's property market including cable, analogue and digital TV, radio and two Sky feeds to cater for Sky + and HD packages. Internal wiring includes cat5e cabling to allow for high speed secure networking and internet access.
"Discreet high definition cabling has also been installed to allow buyers access to this new breakthrough technology, this cable can be used to connect Blu-ray, DVD and HD games consoles. Interior speaker wiring is also fitted in each lounge area to allow surround sound systems to be added."
And those of us more into music than movies are catered for, too. Each apartment has the option of a centralised music system compatible with iPod docks, controlled by wall-mounted keypads or remote handsets.
There's a wall-mounted 32in flatscreen TV in the master bedroom, and the en-suite has bath complete with LCD TV at the right height for soaps while you soak.
