A step-up soundbar at an affordable price? You heard us right. As one of the best soundbars on the market, you'd think you'd have to part with a lot of cash to secure the Sony HT-S2000, but not with this early Black Friday deal.

Right now, this no-frills Dolby Atmos soundbar is down to just $298 at Amazon. You'll have to act fast though as it's only on a 'limited time deal', meaning we have absolutely no idea how long it'll stick around. It certainly won't be forever.

In the UK? It's also down to just £299 at Amazon and other retailers.

Sony HT-S2000: was $500 now $298 at Amazon

The Sony HT-S2000 is a truly affordable five-star Dolby Atmos soundbar that just got even cheaper. Delivering excellent sound quality for its low price, it also offers features missing from comparable rivals such as the previously mentioned Dolby Atmos and HDMI eARC. Pretty sweet for 40% off.

When it comes to performance-per-pound, the five-star Sony HT-S2000 soundbar is a much cheaper alternative to our other budget recommendations.

And what you get in exchange for your hard-earned cash is a wonderfully compact bar that is committed to improving the sound coming from your TV while boasting a straightforward design and feature set.

On the spec sheet, it features Bluetooth 5.2, Dolby Atmos sound and HDMI eARC, which is hard to find in comparably priced bars. Plus, an Optical audio connection, if your TV lacks eARC capabilities.

The S2000 uses a 3.1-channel arrangement with a built-in subwoofer and a total power output of 250W, alongside three X Balance speaker units within the bar.

With no upfiring drivers, it achieves Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support via Sony's Vertical Sound Engine psychoacoustic sound processing system.

Ultimately, this five-star soundbar takes a no-frills approach, focusing instead on solid dynamics, crisp and clear dialogue and more direct sound. Plus, making it as easy as possible to just plug-and-play.

In our full review, we said: "We admire a product that knows what it has to offer and doesn’t try to spread itself thin by cramming in superfluous features.

"We’re willing to bet that the Sony HT-S2000 sounds better than your TV’s built-in speakers, which is the exact goal that Sony has aimed for here. "

And while we said Sony's budget Dolby Atmos soundbar was exceptional value for money, we're really shouting about it now that it's dropped to just $298 at Amazon.
