Microsoft has announced an agreement with Universal to make the company's movies available to rent on the Xbox 360's Live service

Microsoft has announced an agreement with NBC Universal International Television Distribution, to make the Studio's movies available for rent on the Xbox 360's Live service.

Thirty titles are available right now, including some recent blockbusters, like Hellboy II, and the odd classic, such as Steve Martin's The Jerk. The full list is below:

Just as a reminder, new releases cost 360 MS points (£3.00) in standard-def and 540 points (£4.50) in HD, while back-catalogue titles are 250 points (£2.08) in SD and 380 points (£3.17) in HD.

Rentals remain on your Xbox 360 for 14 days after download, or 24 hours from the moment you press ‘play'.
