There's nothing like the start of a new Serie A season with Sampdoria vs Juventus to whet the appetite for all things calcio, washed down with a plateful of pasta and a crisp chianti. Juventus visit Sampdoria on Monday evening wanting to make it two wins from two in Serie A, having gone an almost impossible two seasons without winning the scudetto. Make sure you know how to watch a Sampdoria vs Juventus live stream and catch the Serie A action wherever you are.

US soccer fans can stream Sampdoria vs Juventus free with the 30-day trial of Paramount+ with the code ITALY (opens in new tab). Don't forget to use a VPN (opens in new tab) if you're a US citizen stuck outside the States. UK fans can get a BT Sport Monthly Pass.

Sampdoria vs Juventus live stream

Date: Monday 22nd August 2022

Kick off: 7.45pm BST / 2.45pm ET

Location: Stadio Luigi Ferraris, Genoa

Watch anywhere: ExpressVPN (opens in new tab)

Free stream: Paramount+ free trial (US)

The teams are in and Francesco Caputo leads the line as expected for Sampdoria, with Filip Đuričić on the left wing and Mehdi Léris on the opposite flank. Former Huddersfield midfielder Abdelhamid Sabiri gets the nod alongside Tomás Rincón in the middle of midfield.

Juventus, meanwhile, start Leonardo Bonucci on the bench as Max Allegri shuffles his pack. Adrien Rabiot comes back into the starting XI with his move to Manchester United now seemingly off, while Dusan Vlahovic starts as expected up front for the Old Lady.

Sampdoria have struggled to live up to their big name in recent times. The last time the Genoese club finished in Serie A's Champions League places was 2009/10, only to be relegated the following campaign after struggling to cope with European football. In the 10 seasons since that ignominy, la Samp have finished inside the top seven only once, but will approach 2022/23 with renewed vigour.

Boss Marco Giampaolo steadied a listing ship halfway through last season, and he can still call on legendary Samp captain Fabio Quagliarella and last term's top scorer Francesco Caputo. Though they fell 2-0 to a fine Atalanta side last weekend, there are green shoots of growth in this Sampdoria team.

Juve may have lost Matthijs de Ligt, Paulo Dybala and Giorgio Chiellini over the summer, but the Old Lady's reinforcements look good for a return to Serie A glory. Angel Di Maria scored on his Juve debut in last weekend's 3-0 defeat of Sassuolo, while 25-year-old Brazilian centre-back Bremer also looked good on his Old Lady bow.

With Leonardo Bonucci still going strong and Dusan Vlahovic – whose brace completed the Sassuolo scoring – among Europe's deadliest marksmen, the Turin club will expect to challenge defending Serie A champions Milan.

It's a 7.45pm BST kick-off at the Stadio Luigi Ferrari today, Monday 22nd August, 2022. Read on for more details on how to watch a Sampdoria vs Juventus live stream in Serie A, wherever you are in the world.

Watch a Sampdoria vs Juventus live stream from abroad using a VPN

Even if you have subscribed to the relevant Sampdoria vs Juventus live stream rights holders, you won't be able to access them when outside your own country. The service will know your location based on your IP address, and will automatically block your access.

A Virtual Private Network (VPN) helps you get around this obstacle. VPNs are a doddle to use and create a private connection between your device and the internet. All the information passing back and forth is entirely encrypted.

There are many VPN providers out there, with some more reliable and safe than others. As a rule, we’d suggest a paid-for service such as ExpressVPN which offers a 100 per cent risk-free money back guarantee. If you're not happy with the service any time within the first 30 days, then you can cancel with no penalties at all.
