New from British digital radio experts Pure Digital is an innovative clock-radio packing a trio of unique qualities.
The Siesta Flow is the company's first dedicated wi-fi bedside radio; at £100 it's the least expensive internet radio in the Pure range, and the first to pack a USB PowerPort able to recharge phones or portable players.
Pure says the PowerPort can even be used to power USB reading lights, fans or cup-warmers!
The Siesta Flow can wake you up with internet radio, DAB or FM and also provides access to an online library of 365 wake-up tones via the Pure Lounge portal. Also available from the Lounge is a range of sounds to lull you to sleep or 'wake you in a positive frame of mind'.
It can also stream podcasts and 'listen again' services, and even music direct from a wi-fi-enabled computer, while other facilities extend to an auto-dimming display, touch-sensitive controls, four alarm settings, sleep and snooze timers, 30 radio presets and an iPod/MP3 player input.
More after the break
Three other clock-radios are on the way, the first being £100 Chronos iDock Series II, complete with iPod/iPhone dock. This gets improved styling, greatly upgraded audio (thanks to a digital amplifier and custom-wound speaker coils, better controls and features including the PowerPort.
The Chronos CD Series II, also £100, has a CD player instead of the dock and gets the same upgrades, while the Siesta iDock (£90) lacks the Siesta Flow's internet connectivity, but has an iPod/iPhone dock.
Completing the line-up is a new version of one of Pure's popular table/portable radios: the Elan II, at £100, has upgraded audio, ReVu to pause and rewind digital radio and intellitext and textScan to pause and control text and store traffic reports and sports bulletins.
All five new products will be on sale in good time for Christmas.
