We were promised some new high-end speakers from Wilson Benesch at the show, and here they are.
There are two models in the Geometry Series: the floorstanding Vector (£7800) and standmount Vertex (£4500).
Both are built to Wilson Benesch's usual exemplary quality, and come in black, regal silver and titanium finishes as standard, or a choice of special wood finishes.
There's an additional cost for those wood finishes: £470 on the Vector, £245 on the Vertex, and you can choose to have satin or gloss. A white gloss finish costs £470 on the Vector and £650 on the Vertex (including cheeks and stand).
The standmount Vertex has an Advance Composite Technology (ACT) monocoque cabinet construction, is a two-way design with a 17cm Tactic II mid/bass driver and a new 25mm Semisphere tweeter. It comes with its own specially designed stand to which the speaker is bolted.
More after the break
Sensitivity is 89dB/w/m, nominal impedance 6 Ohms and frequency response 44Hz to 30kHz. Maximum power handling is 200W.
The Vector floorstander uses ACT monooque/poly alloy construction and has twin 17cm Tactic II mid/bass drivers combined with the 25mm Semisphere tweeter.
Sensitivity, frequency response and power handling are the same as for the Vertex.
On both models internal wiring is hand made from military specification multi-stranded, silver plated copper with a PTFE jacket.
