IFA NEWS: Revo adds to its range with the BLOK dock

Revo BLOK

In place of the usual moulded plastic cabinetry of such docks, Revo has gone for handmade furniture-grade wood, covered with a choice of American walnut or black oak veneers. The cabinet design and materials are as much for audio quality as easthetic design, the company says.

And rather than conventional cone drive units, the Revo BLOK has NXT's Balanced Radiator driver technology, combining the performance of an NXT flat-panel driver with the pistonic movement of a normal speaker unit.

40W of Class D amplification is used to power the unit, and all the trim is made from machined aluminium to complete the luxury feel. The same goes for the KONTROL remote handset supplied as standard, which also uses soft-touch plastics.

The BLOK will be available at £199.95 from September 22 exclusively from John Lewis stores, or online at www.johnlewis.com or Revo's own online store.
