Excellent dynamics, fine timing, rock-solid attack, and the tonal balance is spot-on.

For

  • Amazing build and detail quality

Against

  • Not for the miserly

The most expensive cable in the test it cuts a smart enough figure, the red casing covering a multi-stranded OCC copper cable, complete with all sorts of separate casing and isolation materials.

The Compass also uses the company's own non-compressing plugs, which, Atlas says, won't affect the integrity of the cable.

Up and running, it's clear we're getting a great test run, with more detail than ever being revealed and a wide open soundscape. Expensive, but worth it
