TEAC AURB: or SR-100 to its friends
We're not sure whether it's pronounced 'A-Urb' or 'Owrb', but this is the new AURB SR-100 iPod dock system from TEAC.
Selling for £249, it has a retractable iPod dock, a top-mounted slotloading CD player and an FM tuner, and also has both auxiliary and USB inputs.
The two-way stereo speakers use a 32mm tweeter and an 8.9cm mid/bass drivers, have bass-reflex tuning and are driven by a 2x50W amplifie.
A remote control handset is supllied: this will also look after iPod functions, and the system will charge iPods while docked.
MP3 and WMA files can be played by both the CD section and from USB devices, and the AURB is in the shops now.
