The hyperbole around Apple's iPad continues to grow, as satellite broadcaster Sky launches an app allowing users access to its popular Sky Mobile TV service.
iPad users will now be able to watch a variety of sports via the service, including cricket, ATP tennis and the Guinness premiership rugby, while those less actively minded can also enjoy Sky News.
Customers can also browse the Sky Mobile TV electronic programme guide for free, allowing them to plan content for up to 24 hours in advance.
The app is now available from the AppStore on iPad, or alternatively at www.itunes.com/appstore/.
Current Sky TV and Sky Player TV customers who use Sky Sports can subscribe at £6 per month, while for all other customers it's £35.
More after the break
Sky has a proven track record with Apple' products, with both iPod and iPhone apps for the company producing more than 5 million downloads in under a year. These include Sky+ Remote Record, Sky Sports Football Score Centre, and of course Sky News.
