Hi,

im thinking about taking the plunge and buying an origin live motor upgrade. Just the basic one. The main reason is for the speed change feature as I hate having to change the belt on my systemdek! I knw this sounds a bit extreme but those of you who have the same or similar deck will, I'm sure, agree!

so my question is, have you used this kit and is it a decent upgrade?

cheer in advance!

I cannot help you with the 'viable upgrade' bit as my turntable came with the advanced kit fitted as standard.

If you are replacing an old AC motor in the Systemdeck then I would say go ahead.

After initial fitting of motor and tweaking of contreol box the set-up is very good.

I guess really it comes down to how often you switch speeds on your deck and whether fitting a switch to do it constitutes good value for money. Only you can answer that one.
