Yamaha RX-V373 without upscaler

I'm interested in the Yamaha RX-V373 and note it is not an upscaler. My question is how important is this and is picture quality compromised in some way compared to a higher model that does include this? I'm assuming my components would not require 'upscaling' further by an AV Receiver? Picture/sound quality is my priority in choosing a new receiver.
My equipment is as follows:
Sony KDL 40EX503 LCD
Panasonic BDP-500 Bluray
Apple TV
XBOX360
Thanks,

Your blu ray player will upscale DVDs far better than the upscaler in most AV receivers. So don't worry.
