Amazon's summer Prime Day event has been and gone, but it seems no one told JBL.

One of the firm's star products, the JBL Charge 6, is now even cheaper than on Prime Day, dropping to a new low of £96 at Amazon.

This isn't just any Bluetooth speaker, though – this is our Product of the Year Bluetooth speaker, which beat out some tough competition to claim the top spot.

And just in time, too – its powerful, clear and energetic sound will make it perfect for garden parties and outdoor gatherings, especially with another heatwave on the horizon.

JBL Charge 6: was £170 now £96 at Amazon

The JBL Charge 6 somehow manages to improve upon its Award-winning predecessor. Our Product of the Year Bluetooth speaker, the Charge 6 will be excellent for summer gatherings thanks to its powerful, punchy sound and great portable design.

Lowest price on black finish

If you're looking for the best Bluetooth speakers, then the JBL Charge 6 is top of our list.

The Charge 6 is the successor to, you guessed it, the Charge 5, which was itself outstanding and our go-to recommendation during its lifetime.

The Charge 6 manages to improve on the five-star Charge 5, starting with a more waterproof, dustproof and drop-proof IP68 rating, beefier bumper guards and a handy carry-handle for portability.

But it's the audio improvements that excite us most. The Charge 6 features a newly developed woofer, but the benefits extend beyond bass.

"The same familial sound between the two Charge generations remains, but the Charge 6 is that bit more energetic and rhythmically driven, with a newfound sense of clarity going hand-in-hand with the added dose of power and punch," our JBL Charge 6 review reads. "This is a sound that goes far beyond the confines of its portable dimensions; we’re always struck by just how mature the sound balance is, even as you push the volume up."

There's a new 'AI Sound Boost' too that analyses the sound in real time to ensure that the sound is always as punchy, exciting, and clean.

There's also a hefty 24 hours of power should you wish to party all day, with an extra four hours available in Playtime Boost mode. Audio aficionados will be glad to hear that 24-bit/96kHz lossless audio is available via USB-C, while there's also support for Auracast audio sharing and the ability to charge your phone.

While several Prime Day deals have gone back up, the JBL Charge 6 has the rare distinction of going down. And honestly, it couldn't have happened to a much better product – it's one of the best Bluetooth speakers we've ever tested, and well worth the £96 at Amazon if you're happy with the black colour.
