Denon unveils new budget CD player and amp

Denon DCD-510AE/PMA-510AE

The £230 DCD-510AE CD player and £250 PMA-510AE amplifier are available now in silver and black.

The stereo amp uses high-current, single push-pull circuitry to achieve "accuracy and detail in music playback", says Denon.

Parts have been carefully chosen for their contribution to sound quality, such as the large-capacity block capacitor for the power supply circuit and high-quality carbon resistors and capacitors.

Inside the DCD-510AE CD player lies a 24-bit/192kHz DAC, and the digital circuits have been carefully designed "to provide maximum protection from unwanted radiation and achieve low impedance", the company claims.

The unit can play MP3 and WMA audio files recorded on to a CD-R/-RW, and has a two-line display.
