If you’ve got yourself a nice TV with some not so nice speakers, a soundbar can be the perfect upgrade: amp up your audio quality without doing the same for your credit card balance. To that end, make sure to check out your local Currys and put the latest LG USC9S and USE6S soundbars on your radar. These LG bars have wide platform compatibility with Google, Alexa, and Apple’s AirPlay, and you can stream music to them effortlessly with Spotify and Tidal Connect as well as in MQA quality, among other features we’ll get into below.

LG’s USC9S is a premium 3.1.3 soundbar the brand announced back in January, and it’s built to compete with class-leaders like Sennheiser, B&W, and Bose. However, this bar comes with a unique feature: it’s designed to be paired with an LG C Series OLED TV. This means you’ll get an exclusive bracket that enables you to wall- or-stand-mount your new soundbar while it’s attached to your TV. You’ll also get LG’s Wow Orchestra feature which lets your soundbar and your TV work in tandem with each other, maximizing your audio output.

On top of all that, the USC9S packs in Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and IMAX Enhanced audio technologies for the best performance; plus, the USC9S features triple up-firing channels aimed at providing a wide, rich, and immersive soundstage. With an included wireless subwoofer, you won’t have to worry about the bass on your bar, either, while LG also promises bass quality transmits well over longer distances.

On the other hand, if you’re looking for a bar that’s more budget-friendly, LG’s 3.0 USE6S bar may be just what you’re looking for. First up, you’ll get that same Wow Orchestra feature mentioned above that’ll let you get the most out of an LG TV by using both your soundbar’s speakers and TV’s speakers together. In terms of convenience, you also get access to the Wow Interface, meaning you can control your soundbar through your TV with one remove and access all your settings directly on your TV’s screen.

The USE6S sports an all-in-one design, building the capabilities of a subwoofer, providing rich, resonant bass, directly into the bar itself. This is enabled by the USE6S’s four passive radiators that LG says are capable of big and consistent bass performance. As you might expect, this bar supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, and thanks to an HRTF-related 3D engine, the USE6S supports ‘Triple Level Spatial Sound’ that creates a virtual sound dome with a distinct middle layer for an immersive audio experience similar to what you might get at the movies, according to LG.

If you’ve recently purchased a TV, especially so if you’ve opted for something like LG’S excellent C2 OLED, an LG soundbar can be a smart way to bring your audio quality more in line with your image quality. And what better way to do that than with a 2023 LG soundbar you can find on sale right now at Currys, so make sure to give the USC9S and USE6S a look.
