BT Vision launches HD films with NBC Universal
BT Vision is finally adding high-definition films to its on-demand movie service following a deal with NBC Universal

A range of HD film titles will include The Incredible Hulk, Wanted and Charlie Wilson's War, alongside classic library titles such as E.T. – The Extra Terrestrial, Shaun of the Dead and Miami Vice. Many will have Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtracks.
BT Vision customers with HD-ready screens and the V set-top box will be able to access HD content without paying an additional monthly subscription. But they will have to pay £4.95 for current HD films, and £2.95 for older ones.
Dan Marks, CEO of BT Vision, says: "The inclusion of HD films now makes BT Vision an even more compelling service, immediately delivering the benefits of high definition content but without the high cost of an additional monthly subscription or an expensive new set-top box."
Customers are only charged once the film has completely downloaded and viewing has started. All NBC Universal titles can be repeatedly viewed during the 48-hour rental period.
