TDK Life on Record has announced an expansion of its TREK wireless speaker range with the launch of the TREK Micro and TREK 360 systems at CES 2014.
Launched in the US last year, the TREK Wireless Speaker uses Bluetooth to offer high-quality, near lossless audio streaming with no docking required.
The new TREK Micro Wireless Speaker aims to provide "exceptionally clear sound" on-the-go, despite measuring just 8.5cm square and weighing less than 230g.
Features of the Micro model include Bluetooth v2.1; "weatherised" design to protect against water and dust; and a rechargeable battery that lasts up to six hours.
More after the break
The TREK Micro Wireless Speaker also comes with a 3.5mm auxiliary input, a 3.5mm auxiliary output and the ability to pair two Micro speakers for stereo audio.
Meanwhile, the TREK 360 Wireless Speaker includes four full-range speakers and a subwoofer and comes with a rechargeable battery - also lasting up to six hours.
Additional features of the new 360 model include Bluetooth (A2DP profile) with ACC support for high-quality wireless audio and a 3.5mm stereo auxiliary input.
It is anticipated that the TREK Micro will be released in the US in Q2 2014 at around $60, with the TREK 360 also due for a Q2 release in the US at a price of $180.
