RP6 platter wobble
English

Only just noticed a very slight wobble, its not the subplatter as i have tried the Rega stock one and Gus's

Its annoying the hell out of me now - am I being too picky?

Gonna give Moorgate Acoustics a ring in the morning and see what they say!

Michell Gyrodec, RB303, Benz Micro Ace H, Icon Audio ST40 w/KT88s, PS1 Phono, Kudos X2, Rega Apollo R, DAC

You need to get to the bottom of this, or it will drive you mad.

Been there and got the T-Shirt......ie. where possible faults have to be understood.

I have an anal side, you know.....verging on OCD.  :wall:

the tale of the dodgy RP6 rears it's ugly head again, I'm actually glad I got rid of mine although that had nothing to do with the deck to be honest

See if you can borrow a DTI gauge (and stand) to get a number for the wobble

Just wasn't getting used.........think I liked the idea of it but all I ended up doing was streaming and the family use Spotify mostly so poor old vinyl never really got a look in. To be fair I haven't missed it so I know I made the right decision..................oh and I got what I paid for it which eases the pain a bit Smile

RE: RP6 platter wobble

My last Rega (last version of the P2 from around 2009) had absolutely no 'wobble' at all.

My previous RB300  Planar 3s (1983 and 1996) had none either.

I guess standards have slipped lately or I got lucky three times over three decades.
